At Brickhouse Tileworks we work directly with clients to develop one-of-a-kind, custom designs. Whether you want to create an awe-inspiring mural or a simple backsplash, our artists work with you to meet your specific needs in concept, color, size, shape, pattern, and style. Our clients include homeowners, interior decorators, architects, organizations, and home builders who turn to Brickhouse for both residential and commercial installations.

The custom design process begins with an initial concept and cost perspective for the specific job. After a preliminary design fee, the client receives a formal proposal agreement, which includes a project description, B&W concept drawings, pricing schedule, and production timeline. Brickhouse then develops a sample to illustrate the color, scale, visual elements and relief aspects of the commission. These samples are usually a watercolor, but can also be a miniature color model of the scale project.

Once the initial samples are approved, preliminary steps to transform drawings into tiles can begin. For murals and relief tiles, we sculpt the originals, cast molds, and prepare prototype tiles and glazes for client approval. After approval we begin construction of the final product. Once complete the tiles will be prepped for installation and delivery. Any skilled tile installer is capable of installing our tiles, allowing Brickhouse to design tiles for anyone, anywhere. Installation service is available for more complex jobs at an additional cost.
